Belia Berrios (Vigil) funeral expenses

Donation protected

As some of you may know, Belia Berrios (Vigil) passed away on March 1st, due to health complications. This has been a difficult time for My family and I.

We would like to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the phone calls, and prayers from everyone. It reminds us of how many people cared for her and loved our mother.

Belia Berrios grew up on Shotwell and 21st Street, in San Francisco's mission district. Born in 1962, Belia was the first daughter of Jesus and Genevieve Vigil (owners of Vigil's Club on 21st and Bryant). Belia was incredibly active in her community and in 1978, at the age of 16, she and five of her neighborhood friends started a club known as "The Folsom Park Home Girls" where she proudly served as club president.

Belia met her first love Steve Berrios one day on one of her trips to Folsom Park. The couple later married and had 3 beautiful children together; myself as the oldest, my sister Crystal who gained her wings too soon and my younger brother, Steven.

Amongst many things, Belia was an avid car enthusiast who owned a beautiful 66 t-bird (Thunderbird) that was featured in Lowrider Magazine.

She is survived by her children, myself, and Steven Orlando jr. as well as her twin grandbabies, Olivia and George

Our mother was a beautiful soul with a very stubborn attitude as I'm sure many noticed being around her. We would love to ask friends and family to help us in celebrating her life as we all knew it. The good, the bad, the ugly.

We are reaching out to ask everybody if they are able to contribute anything, so we can give our mother a proper memorial/ celebration of life. No contribution is too small.

Once again, thank you everyone.
