Believe in Brazilarte Community Southend on Sea
Donation protected
The Brazilarte Academy is home to many different people young and old.
Hundreds of people have passed through our doors over the last 9 years.
When the lockdowns were instated in 2020 we were forced to decide whether or not we could continue.
In our hearts, we couldn't let go and decided to fight for our community space. We fell through the cracks for funding and our only way forward was to take out a loan and fund the transition ourselves.
Fast forward coming out of the pandemic, things gained momentum and there was a brilliant light of hope for our Academy's future, the community we served and the people who found solace there.
Step up winter 22/23.
We are being tested once again. Only this time there is nowhere to run.
Our hands are tied and we desperately need your help to survive this period.
Many small independent businesses are not surviving through this turbulent time and we are no exception. With bills and rents rising, we are struggling to make ends meet and need some help to make it to the end of the year.
We need to raise £12,000.
We know that this is a really tough time for many and it's difficult for us to make this ask, this is our last effort to save our community space and all the blood sweat and tears we have dedicated to our community and academy space.
If you are in a position to donate anything to our campaign we will be forever grateful.
If you are not but can share it with your community that would be amazing.
If you have ever seen a performance, worked with us, or joined us in a class or a community project we would like to ask if you can help us continue to create, support and keep the Brazilarte Academy open.
If nothing else Emma and Biscuim would like to thank you for taking the time to read our plea. If you can support our work, THANK YOU.
