Raising funds for Rudy’s treatment and recovery

I am starting this fundraiser to help my good friend Rudy Morales. 
He has been a warrior his whole life, and beaten the odds time and time again. He has fought in some of the worlds biggest MMA stages, as well as starting his own MMA promotion. If you know Rudy, you know he would never ask for help, unless it was truly necessary. The following is Rudy's words of what has been going on with him:

" Several months ago I started having a number of issues that were uncharacteristic for me and were never there before. While I was visiting California, I was having breathing issues and chest pains and after some tests done they ruled it anxiety. However, the issues did not stop and I was unable to seek the proper doctor’s care because of a lack of insurance. I moved to some apartments that have an infestation of pigeons around the area. That had only been the big change in my life till today. There is no way of proving that the negligence of the Apartments management is what caused my current situation. 

 I was finally able to obtain medical coverage at a very expensive price but it allowed me to get the medical attention that I needed. I continued to have issues with my breathing, erratic blood pressure, constant insomnia, and a lack of breath. It was like nothing I ever felt before.

 I was sent to a cardiologist, pulmonologist, ENT doctor, and neurologist. I had several test including a Cat Scan, Stress Test, ultra sound of the lung, blood work , biopsy of my thyroid because it was swollen and abnormal. I was finally diagnosed with pleurisy and Hypersensitive Pneumonitis and given a number of inhalers, and prednisone. The Pulmonary Dr. said they can not yet pinpoint what is causing the irritation and what is making my lungs become inflamed.

 However, the breathing got better but the burning and chest pains and neuropathy come and go. I am currently being referred to a hospital in Arizona to undergo treatment. At the moment, I am unable to work because of several chemicals that were used on my job that affects my breathing so I am currently on FMLA. 

The treatment starts at around $ 8,000. Unfortunately this treatment is not covered by my insurance. 

We will find out more soon how much its going to be in total. 

Right now, I am receiving therapy to deal with all of the issues that I have and the Psychologist is really helping by providing me with coping mechanisms to stay strong and deal with all the medical issues. I was also diagnosed with insomnia. I have received support and I am thankful for all the people who have helped me. My quality of life has change radically. I am in Chronic pain everyday.

 I am still undergoing test and the doctor bills are constantly adding up with the insurance that I may not be able to afford for long. If I am accepted as a patient and there are still things that the doctor prescribed that I haven’t gotten due to the expense. Some people do recover from an allergic reaction like the one  I have and some don’t.  

I BELIEVE 2 BELIEVE that I will be able to heal and share my story and help others with similar diseases.
