Belinda’s Fight against Cancer

Donation protected
Hi my name is Belinda Deleon I’m 30 years old and I’m currently battling stage 4 uterine cancer. I got diagnosed on August 16,2021 at the UMC medical hospital in El Paso Texas.

When I found out about my diagnosis I checked myself into an emergency room. Due to the pain I was having from my lower abdominal area and not being able to have any bowel movements in 5 days. The nurses then did an ultrasound sound on my lower abdominal area and pelvis area where they found an endometrial mass in my uterus the size of 12x5x 7.8 cm in length. With the size being abnormal I was taken for a CT scan where they also found masses spreading from my uterus to my ovaries to my lymph nodes and lungs.

As days went on in the hospital a Dr and specialist at the Texas Tech University center in El Paso Texas came to see me. They were getting me ready to start my chemotherapy as soon as possible because of the findings and consistent coughing up of blood.
September 14,2021 I started my first session of chemotherapy at the UMC infusion Center. With no access port for my chemo I took my first round of chemotherapy through my vein in my left hand. The after math of chemotherapy makes you feel very tired and weak, I had to remind myself I can do this.

September 25 2021
I had to get a port put in my chest so I can fully get the chemotherapy run through my veins and kill the cancer off . I was soon gonna get my second round.

On October 4, 2021
I was getting ready for my 2nd round of chemotherapy where I then had an allergic reaction to the Taxol medication. I woke up in the ICU and my doctor wanted to know why that happened sometimes allergic reactions can occur so they went ahead and stopped my chemotherapy for a week as i recover from the ICU. The following week my doctor wanted me to get back on chemotherapy. 10/11/2021
i was in the hospital praying and hoping this chemo session works, then 12 mins in I had the same allergic reaction. I was then off of chemo for a few weeks till my doctor found another medication that I’m not allergic too.
November 4,2021
my doctor found another treatment for me
:Carboplatin
: Bevacizumab
I was nervous and my anxiety has gotten the best of me as I get ready for my official second dose of chemo praying for a good session I did great.. my body accepted this medication.

Fast forward a couple of months the next few sessions have been great besides the after effects. I’m currently still going through chemotherapy and been scheduled for surgery on Feb 9, 2022 to remove the tumor from my uterus.

With every appointment comes a cost. I want to start the funding to get help with my surgery coming up and help so I can continue my chemo, lab/blood work. I’m asking for help to get back on my feet and to pay off past due bills and for my living situation as of now.
Im a fighter and will not let this cancer beat me. It has been an emotional rollercoaster. I wanna push forward and also help others who are going through the same journey as me. With God all things are possible, I wanna help others keep there faith strong and give them hope. Give them the power so we can all beat this cancer together!

from the bottom of my heart I’m very thankful and blessed to all those who been by me and helping me on this journey…To the Cadena family who took me in with open arms and guided me closer to God  I’m forever thankful. Thank you everyone for the prayers and support.
