Bella's Buddies: Support the Seldin-Bond-Robisons

Donation protected
UPDATE 3/17: Just when it looked like we were making some progress, this week has been touch and go for Bella and the family. Once settled in at a longer-term care facility in NPR, (thanks for advocating, friends) her seizures started up again, her vitals began failing and and her brain swelling is a major concern. Devastatingly, she back on life support. She was transferred to Tampa General where they can take much better care of her and are running new labs and scans. They are starting from the beginning again and seem to be moving fast.

She’s now set up with EEG that runs 24/7 so they can monitor the seizures better. It seems clear that they have the resources to do what they need to do to find answers. Now we hope and wait. Please share with friends and family. Funds, prayers, meals and positive vibes are needed now. Jessica has been giving us updates via Facebook, so check in. <3 Hang in there, Bella.

Many of you are aware of Bella's hospitalization for meningitis.  It was touch and go for a couple days there with Bella unresponsive and struggling to breathe on her own. While the type of meningitis is still being evaluated and her brain function is still being assessed, what we do know is that Bella is uninsured and her family will need financial support to cover the hospital bills and presumably, Bella's longer-term care needs. We all remain hopeful for a full recovery, but this will take time.  And, money.

Bella's breathing on her own (huzzah!), but has great difficulty with cognitive functions and is in pain and needs round-the-clock care. Jessica, Elizabeth and Travis have been at her side at the hospital everyday and every night as we wait for the specific meningitis diagnosis and a long-term care plan.

If you know Bella, you know how loveable and kind she is to everyone. No matter if she's struggling, she always manages to bring joy to the room. She's bubbly, full of stories and laughter and you might get two goodbye hugs before you go. It is almost impossible to consider her any other way, so we will do what we can to allow Bella and her family to focus on her recovery, while her friends and family support them with love, prayers and funds.

It's been an emotional rollercoaster these past few days and there is still much uncertainty, but we know we can do this part. Jessica and her family have been great supporters of so many in our community and now is the time to show them we care.  Thank you for your support. <3
