Bella's Much Needed EarTooth Surgery Fund

Bella had been living in a pasture for several years. She was rarely handled. We were told she had the infected ear for several years as well. The new owners of the property where Bella lived for so long agreed to take her. Soon they contacted Dr. Bill Walker, DMV asking for help because she was nearly feral and very fearful of humans. He suggested she call SaveTheHorses.org . We were willing to help her and a wonderful group of volunteers came out to herd her away from the large pasture so Dr Walker could dart her. It was the only way we could get her into the trailer and take her to the rescue.

Volunteer, Roger Morton, has been working getting a halter on Bella and the volunteers have been showing her lots of love. Dr, Ken Marcella radiographed her skull and confirmed it was a dentigerous cyst aka an EarTooth. Bella's surgery is scheduled for Thursday, Oct 7. Once at the University of Georgia Veterinary Hospital, a CT Scan will be done. It will better show the size of the cyst and its involvement with the surrounding tissue. We are expecting a full recovery but any surgery can be dangerous.

Bella has a wonderful chance of being a normal trusting horse and live in a loving home but she needs this surgery. You will be the life changer for sweet Bella. She is only 17 years old.
