Support for 18 year old Bella and her family during hospice

Surrounded by LOVE and her cats, Bella passed away at 11:44am CDT June 9, 2024.

Rachel and Chloe will be putting their lives back together and there will be a celebration of life for Bella in a few weeks.

Meanwhile, we are so grateful for all the kindness everyone has shown us.

This is an update: Rachel requests the grace and space to concentrate on Bella’s immediate needs and those of Chloe and Patrick, Bella’s siblings. Using her login here’s the update.

An MRI on Friday May 31st shows that the cancer has become fast and aggressive and Saturday June 1st, as an 18 year old young adult, Bella signed herself into hospice care and signed her own DNR. This follows her valiant fight over the last 6 years since she was 12. Her oncologist is now Pallative.

She is in home hospice in Nashville, Tennessee surrounded by her loving blended family. For as much time as we have left together with Bella our collective goal is to provide Comfort and Quality.

We don’t know what’s ahead. We’re facing an unthinkable event. We have had a tremendous outpouring of love and are beyond grateful for the support and love we are experiencing.

On a practical note, please understand that Rachel cannot use energy beyond what it’s taking to be present for her kids. Rachel is safe and supported but won’t be on social media and doesn’t have the bandwidth to field texts and calls much.

Periodically we’ll post updates here on her behalf. The GoFundMe will be used to help replace Rachel’s income and handle many unforeseen expenses for now while she has a full time focus on Bella’s Comfort and Quality and emotional health for herself, her children and family.

Hello, my name is Rachel and I am fundraising for my 18-year-old daughter, Bella. She has been in and out of treatment since October 2018. This is the third time she will be braving treatment with rare tumors throughout her nervous system. Bella will be receiving integrative care with some of the top-rated doctors, facilities, and modalities in the country. We are very optimistic that Bella will once again prevail, and we are passionate that Bella will attract the team that will assist her in putting all this behind her and move forward in her life as a healthy adult in radical remission.
