Rewire Bellingham Makerspace and Make Us a Creative Outlet
Tax deductible
Since 2014, Bellingham Makerspace has been a vibrant hub for creativity, discovery, and community. We're a place to share skills and bring ideas to life. As we start on our next ten years, we need your help to upgrade our electrical system.
We currently run most of our tools on twelve electrical outlets. This limits how we can arrange tool areas, and it makes it hard to run more than one class at a time. We need $5,000 to put in twenty new outlets around the perimeter of our common area. This would let us be more flexible in where we can offer classes and give us the capacity to add more tool areas in the future.
Stage two of this project will need $15,000 more, which we will use to completely rewire our wood shop. This will allow us to use more tools at the same time, have dedicated outlets to charge handheld tools, and install more powerful dust collection.
Your generous donation will help us run more classes, use more tools, and better support the Bellingham maker community in their passions. Anyone who donates $200 or more will get to dedicate and design an outlet cover, and will receive a gift as a token of our appreciation!
