Bell's Receipt Theatre

Our company is interested in human contact and communication - through the movement of the body itself and through voice and/or language. Our main focus is bridging gaps of communication barriers and trying to be as inclusive as possible. We are also interested in grounding ourselves politically. We exist within a left-wing feminist ideology that revolves around inclusion, diversity and accessibility. Theatrically, we are interested in dance theatre, absurd theatre, verbatim theatre.

Our company has an inherently political message. When you make a point to create a space where everyone is included and engages with identities that don’t fit into the ‘perfect western stereotype’, whether you like it or not that is a political statement. Making a point of going out of our way to include the unincluded is a political statement.

Through your donations to our company, you will be helping us fund our current project, which we will perform in April/May 2022. All donations given will go into the company fund. We are trying to be as sustainable as possible, so any donations left over will be donated to Communication Matters. Communication Matters is a charity that works to give everyone a voice regardless of their speech ability.
