Beloved Family Member, Manuel Villa (1949-2024)

Dear Family and Friends,

My name is Angela Vokas, I am the oldest niece and goddaughter of my Ninos, Manuel and Herlinda Villa.

As many of you are aware, Nino has been battling cancer for the past few years. It started in his bladder and spread to other parts of his body. He survived multiple surgeries, including a kidney removal, and was hopeful and resilient throughout the process.

Today, I am sad to announce his battle with cancer has ended. He had decided to do hospice at home and was surrounded by his loving family.

My Nino turned 75 on January 6, and we were just informed his term life insurance expired on his birthday. I’m writing this story for my Nina, Linda Villa. Since life insurance funds are no longer going to be available, she will need assistance from everyone to help pay for the funeral expenses.

Manuel and Linda are the kindest and most generous people you will ever meet. Over the 50+ years that they had been together, they opened their home and their hearts to those in need. I know it saddens all of us that the family is having to go through this challenging time; anything you can offer as a donation to help lessen the hardship would be appreciated.
