Beloved Late Coroner’s Wife

I am a close family friend of the late Lee County Coroner, Bill Harris. I come to you with full disclosure of some unforgiving financial burdens left on the shoulders of his widow, Christy.

Hardly anyone knows of Christy’s financial aftermath following Bill’s unexpected passing. Much to her surprise she discovered her beloved husband had passed and even more to her surprise, she has been left with some financial burdens she was unaware of before Bill’s passing.

Bill had received promising news of getting to finish radiation earlier than expected and his doctor encouraged him to take the beach trip with his family. As you all probably know, Christy went into their bedroom in the condo they were staying at in Panama City, only to find Bill’s cold lifeless body. Due to Florida laws and protocols, the family had to endure a full CSI investigation and interviews in the hours after discovering Bill had passed.. traumatic to say the least.

Christy and her family returned to Opelika only to be more surprised in the coming days and weeks.

In the midst of confusion and sickness the chemo and radiation left Bill dealing with, he unfortunately let his life insurance policy lapse. Much to their surprise, Christy could not start drawing his social security benefits due to being too young.

Christy persevered and sadly sold their home they lived the majority of their life in. She sold Bill’s truck, another piece of him gone. She worked a second job and is still actively looking for and applying for more jobs. Even after all of that, due to some other financial burdens, that need not be explicitly spoken of, due to the families’ privacy - she is still struggling to make ends meet.

So I come to you for mercy and ask for your consideration to donate any amount you feel led to. We are all aware of today’s economy and the overall financial burden a lot of families are feeling. However, my hope is that Christy can be donated enough money to help ease her financial fears and be able to start to properly grieve her beloved husband.
