Below knee amputations for Kyle Ferris

My name is Kyle Ferris and I'm a triple amputee. After a course of unfortunate events in 2006, I developed a staph infection and my blood became septic. I was in a coma for 2 months and loss circulation to my hands and feet. I had the front half of each foot and the fingers on my right hand amputated. My mobility is extremely limited. I can walk but not without a great deal and sometimes completely debilitating pain. My best option for a more mobile, pain free life, is to have below the knee amputations. There are far better prosthetic's than what's available for me now. The surgery will greatly improve the quality of my life. It will allow my wife and I to do much more together. She loves to work out and I was a college wrestler. I'd love to go for a run or hit a hiking trail with her. The surgery, along with good prosthetic's will give me the chance to do it. I have a great Dr and wonderful prosthetic's team ready to help me. I'm mentally prepared for the challenge that comes with the surgery. In 2006 I was a college wrestler with a bright future ahead of me. It all changed in the blink of an eye. The illness ended the career I worked so hard for. I'm lucky to have been able to wrestle for as long as I did though. All of the training and mental toughness wrestling requires, is what got me through the medical issues I had to overcome. As the years have gone by it is getting tougher and tougher for me to get around. My level of pain is getting worse. My feet are at the point where they hurt when I'm not even on them. The amount of time I can spend on my feet is getting shorter. My physical limitations are making it extremely hard for me to find employment I can perform at. The insurance my wife gets from her work won't cover the surgery or prosthetic's and it is for that reason I am asking for help. Please help me gain back a part of my life I lost.
