Ben Burkhart and His Family

In March of 2019,  Ben, 5 years old, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Ben is the youngest of four children of Jason and Lauren Burkart. While Ben went into remission in late April, treatment will continue for over 2 years. Due to a very high risk of infection, Ben cannot attend school, and this means Lauren has had to take a year off of teaching, cutting the family's income almost in half. Additionally, this family's home has many renovations and repairs needed to make it safe for Ben to live in long term, or sellable so that they can find a more suitable long term home that is safe for Ben.  Jason and Lauren and their family have received enormous support from the surrounding community and it is much appreciated. As Jason's Mom , I am hoping we can continue to lift them up and help them through this season of their lives, and make the journey just a little easier.  Any amount helps and is very appreciated, as is any sharing you can do of this project, so that it reaches more people who can possibly help!!
