After a bad fall, Ben Green needs our support

My big brother Ben Green is a skillful jack-of-all-trades, always working on new projects and helping people out. If you have ever met him, Ben has likely helped you out with a home improvement project or at least with answering questions for you around building/ plumbing/ water/ install/ fixing/ you-name-it questions... last week while prepping for his daughter Lincoln's 1st birthday party (and prepping for the cold Colorado winter coming up), he was installing a heating system on their home. Unexpectedly he slipped from his ladder which resulted in some extreme ankle injuries that needed immediate attention and some fancy new metal hardware. Considering how much worse this fall could have been, we are honestly SO thankful that he is okay... I won’t grace your social media feed with the more gruesome photos, but by the time I am posting this Ben has already gone through 2 major surgeries. His sweet family has many months of healing, physical therapy, and patience before he will be able to put any weight on his foot.
Being the main income for their family as a plumber and unable to work for the foreseeable future, there is major financial stress added to an already difficult situation.
On top of this and lower funds available, they are still working on some prior medical bills from when Ben was hospitalized with Covid in 2021 and when Lincoln was care flighted to a Denver NICU just hours after she was born. Even with insurance and reviewing itemized hospital bill lists, those 2 instances racked up about $20k in hospital bills before this new injury. As you can imagine the next few months of uncertainty is daunting.
If you have read this far, please consider contributing to our family's asks:
1. Donations.
- To support their family, we have set up a fun way to contribute to them through Custom Ink where you can get your own tshirt with a "Repair the Repairman" logo on it! Proceeds on the site beyond cost of materials go straight to the Greens.
- If you prefer to send money directly to them quickly, we ask that any money is sent straight to Ben's wife Julia using Venmo... please use #RepairtheRepairman to help them keep track of funds raised. Julia's Venmo handle is @Julia-Green-37
2. Please share this site and post so that we can get as much attention and help as possible!
3. Prayers!
We hope that you will Pray for physical and mental health through a long recovery. Pray for sanity for these young parents as they navigate a major life adjustment and a toddler who is currently learning to walk right while her daddy is struggling to be able to.
In Isaiah 41:10, God says to “fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
