Ben Norris' Medical Fund
Hello Family and Friends of Ben Norris,
On November 25th, 2016, Ben was involved in a life changing dirtbike accident. He has been riding motorcycles his entire life. My name is Gabriel Norris, his nephew. On our thanksgiving trip to Ocotillio we were on a ride to the mountain Superstition, on the way back on a single lane dirt trail Ben was leading the way back to our campsite. Within a few miles of camp, a group of offroad vehicles (Bronco, a few Razrs), came flying down the opposite direction towards our group. Both Ben and the Bronco were going at extreme speed, and had a head on collision. Ben was hit by the Bronco, it's bull bar collided with the front end of his motorcycle, knocking him to the ground.
He was life-flighted($40,000-$60,000 not covered by insurance) to the nearest hospital, where he was in surgery for about seven hours, with more to come today. His injuries include a compound fracture on one of his fingers, a shattered wrist, knee cap, broken hip along with the socket, both of his legs are also broken through the skin, and so is his left foot.
He is expected to be in the hospital for 3 weeks, and under care and in rehab for months.
Ben is self-employed, owner of San Diego Home Theater, and will be unable to work and provide for his family. Not only does he take care of his family, he and his wife, Vickie, are raising their niece. Any help you can afford will be greatly appreciated.
Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
