In loving memory of Ben Roberts - Age 24

To all you amazing beautiful people. I can’t describe our loss, we are heartbroken. As Bens mum part of me died the day he did. We are proud people and money was the last thing we were thinking about, but you amazing people with your kind words and donations mean more than words can ever say. Thank you doesn’t say enough.

Ben was adored by every person he met, he was kind, loving and so very special. He had a way with people that I have never seen before and he lit up any room he walked in. He lived and loved life to the the fullest and he was the most amazing person in the world. I was honoured to be his mum, he was my baby boy, my world and he was so very special. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts x

We’re raising funds on behalf of our beloved friend Kerry, Bens mum. 

Ben’s life was cut tragically short on Tuesday 14th May 2024 following a terrible accident whilst on holiday in Amsterdam.

Ben was only 24 and had his whole life ahead of him. He was a handsome, kind, funny and caring young man with a heart of gold, who adored his mum and family.

He was an amazing son, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin, who’s family meant the world to him and he was loved by everyone that knew him. 

Ben was born and grew up in Croydon attending school in Shirley. 

Bens family are utterly devastated by his sudden and unexpected passing and yet even in their darkest hours they found the strength and compassion to consent to Ben being an organ donor and have been told that this selfless act lead to saving multiple lives, something Ben would have wanted.

This decision shows the family’s strength and generosity even in the face of tragedy. Ben’s legacy continues through the lives he has saved.

Kerry is also extremely grateful to the incredible medical staff in the Netherlands who gave Ben the most amazing care and showed them nothing but love, support and compassion throughout their time at the hospital.

They’ve been unable to locate any travel insurance so if you can find it in your heart to donate in anyway, the family would be truly grateful for your help at this most difficult time.

Sadly, Kerry only lost her beloved dad 2 years ago and to now be in this position with her Son is unimaginable and completely heartbreaking.

Any donations will go directly to Bens family to help towards the cost of flying Ben ( her beautiful baby boy ) home to the UK and towards his funeral costs.
