Bendigo's first Neuroaffirming school Yrs 5 -10
Donation protected
Hello! We are a group of passionate professionals and parents in Bendigo, Victoria, who care deeply about our Neurodivergent youth. We need your help to reduce the levels of school trauma and school refusal (school can’t) for Neurodivergent students in the region.
Our dream is to create Amegilla College, the first school of its kind in Bendigo, Victoria that caters to Neurodivergent students from Year 5 through to Year 10. Our goal is to provide a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where Autistic, ADHD, Dyslexic, and other neuro-type children who struggle within mainstream educational settings can flourish and become their best authentic selves. We aim to create an environment that is designed to cater to Neurodivergent needs and encourage difference. Where each individual feels valued, understood, and empowered, by prioritising compassion, creativity, and trust in our teaching methodologies, we aim to provide an educational journey that celebrates Neurodiversity.
Thanks to donations and the hard work of the volunteers we have taken over the management of the old Longlea Lane primary school.
Along side the development of the school on this site we are creating a Community Hub for Neurodivergent people to meet and have activities in a safe space. This is a very exciting time for our project.
Your donations will go towards providing suitable toilets at Longlea lane, purchasing a classroom on the property so we can register as a school, and additional costs such as furniture, equipment, etc to help us set up and register as an Independent Specialist School. Any amount you can contribute will assist greatly. If you are unable to donate at this point, please share with your family and friends.
Thank you for your support!
