My name is Ashley, and I am the youngest of two daughters my parents had. We tragically lost my father on November 20, 2023. While taking a walk like he did everyday in his town in Italy, he suddenly collapsed, and passed away from cardiac arrest. He was awaiting surgery in Italy for his heart.

We lost my mother 4 1/2 years ago to ovarian cancer. It was also sudden. When we lost her, my father was our rock. He was a proud Italian immigrant to the United States, and was proud to be an American citizen. He was not only an amazing father, but husband, brother, uncle, nephew, the list goes on.

My father did not have a Will. He did not make it to name beneficiaries on his estate. Sadly, my sister and I don’t speak the best Italian, and the process of what we are starting to go through is already becoming very arduous. We do not have access to anything regarding his estate, and won’t for months. We want to give him a proper goodbye, and be able to take care of his finances and other expenses that are necessary when we go to Italy next week.

Asking for money is something no one likes to do, but under these circumstances I feel it is ok to ask for help. It’s ok to be in need of something. He deserves this. He deserves the best goodbye because he was our first hello.

Anything offered is appreciated more than anyone could know. If you knew my father, you loved my father.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
