Benefit concert for Everett
Donation protected
My mom and I run a production company called S.O.S (singers on stage). Each year we find a family who we can benefit! This year we are doing the benefit for Everett!
100% of what we raise on here will go strictly to the family to pay for medical bills and surgeries to come!
Everett (Rett) is 16 months old and extremely active and adventurous! The name Everett means hearty, brave and strong, and that’s exactly what he is. Rett was born with a number of craniofacial deformities which include a unilateral cleft lip that extended up into his nose and gum line. He was born without a right ear which is called anotia the most severe form of microtia, he has hemifacial microsomia which means the lower portion of his face on the right side is underdeveloped and does not grow normally. He has facial nerve palsy on his right side, so he has little control over his facial expression and his right eye which is a little smaller than his left (micropthalmia).
Amongst his facial deformities Everett has balance issues which stem from problems in his right and left inner ear, as well as tibial torsion which is an inward twisting of the shin bones. Everett has multiple heart defects, atrial septal defect, ventricular septal defect and a bicuspid aortic valve.
Everett had his first cleft lip/nose repaired when he was 3 months old, they detected a nasal dermoid tumor that was then surgically removed when he was 6 months old. The dermoid has returned and he will go back into surgery at Primary Children’s Hospital before the end of this year.
He has a long road of surgeries ahead, 4 or more for cleft related issues, 4 or more for ear reconstruction, 2 or more for facial nerve/jaw line reconstruction, it is possible that he will need multiple surgeries for his heart defects, and 1 for his tibial torsion if it doesn’t correct itself as he gets older.
Everett is the sweetest little guy that melts everyone’s hearts when they get to know him.
