Monte Lake Wildfire Fund

Hi, my name is Anita and I live in Monte Lake, BC. As you know, the White Rock Lake fire tore through our small community and ravaged it destroying many homes and structures, not to mention decimating our beautiful valley.

I am one of the lucky ones, I still have a home.  Many of my neighbours were not so lucky. 29 structures were lost and some do not have fire insurance, (which is difficult to get in some rural areas), so when they lost their homes, they lost everything.

The funds  raised will go directly to the people who lost homes, structures and belongings. They need our help to try to start over again and to rebuild their lives here.
