Benefit for Family of Harnett County Dep. Johnson

This afternoon (02/06/24) Harnett County Deputy and SRO Chris Johnson was involved in a serious multi-vehicular crash on Darroch Road. Tragically, as a result of the accident Deputy Johnson lost his life. He was on-duty at the time, heading home after his shift as a School Resource Officer. He leaves behind a wife and children. We are fundraising to help assist the family of Deputy Johnson with any financial burdens they may incur. 100% of proceeds will be directly given to his wife and children. We will update as more information is released.

02/07/24 Update: According to the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office, Johnson had been with the county agency for 16 months and served as a school resource officer at Highland Middle School in Sanford. Johnson also previously worked with the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office for over 15 years and the Dunn Police Department for 9 years.

He leaves behind a wife and four children.
