Benefit for Michael DeCesare's Youngest Son

We lost my beloved brother Michael ("Hammer") very tragically on June 7th, 2023. Michael gave so much of himself to others because that was God’s work. He helped a stranger in need, loaned people money, but never expected anything in return. Unfortunately, when he needed help the most, he never asked for it.

In Michael’s early life he was successful; however, in the last years, he was stricken with a physical illness and lost everything. He came back to the United States a year and a half ago, determined to heal himself. Even though Michael had his own challenges, he was taking care of our 83 year old dad, who had a heart attack and is in poor health.

Unfortunately Michael's suffering was too great and the struggle took a massive toll on his mental health.

Michael leaves behind his 14 year old son, Vito and 27 year old son Michael. He loved both boys very much and his loss will be a tremendous void in their lives. While little Michael is more established in his life, Vito has a long road ahead adjusting to life without his Dad who was his sole caregiver and biggest fan. Vito’s smile would touch your heart as it is genuine and kind. He loves school and works hard on his assignments. This summer he is attending a few community camps, baseball is the one he is most excited about. He is artistic and enjoys creating computer generated animation. He is smart and ambitious and with support has the potential to make a difference in the future.

As there is no inheritance or assets, the "Vito DeCesare Trust" has been set-up to provide his son Vito with support for basic needs as well as funds to go to college. Michael was an amazing father and always told Vito "make something of yourself so you never have to rely on anyone else". Our family wants to provide Vito the opportunity to be successful and the ability to honor the wishes that his father would have tried to provide for him.
