Benefit for Sharon Bodenus
Some people refer to her as Ms. Yooper of Yooper rummage sales, my aunts and uncles all call her sister. To my children she is “Grams”, to my father she is the “love of his life”. My wife and I call her Mom.
Whether by her music or her worldwide view through a camera lens, my mother has brought joy to this increasingly dark world. Many of you may have noticed her absence from both her private and photography social media pages. Here is the reason why.
Last winter my mom was diagnosed with blood clots. As time went on more clots formed resulting in a series of strokes. Months of testing finally confirmed our worst fears. The clots were merely a symptom of a greater foe. A very complicated cancer.
My mother is now in the fight of her life. Even with medical insurance not all treatments are covered and with deductibles, co-pays and fees, the bills are adding up fast. In the age of Covid, an in person benefit was not an option for us. Marie and I along with other family members will continue to help where and when we can, however the need will be great with ongoing medical costs. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you! The Bodenus Family
