Benefit for the Zeigler Family

We’d like to share what has been going on with our family in hopes that this may help someone else. In March, Jason began having some GI symptoms, in which he proceeded to go to a doctor to get checked out. That doctor checked him out and told him that he would be okay, just needed some probiotics and OTC treatments. After my prompting, he pushed to see a specialist and they didn’t have availability until the summer time. He wasn’t happy with waiting that long so he sought another recommendation to another doctor to get in sooner. That doctor proceeded to see him in July and scheduled diagnostic testing for mid-August. Jason went to the testing, in which the doctor found a tumor, the doctor suspected that the tumor was cancer. After the testing, he began to vomit and have pain, so I took him to the ER and we were not prepared for what they were about to tell us. Jason has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Colorectal Cancer with metastases to his liver and his lungs.

We have a lot of unknowns right now while he is hospitalized but we do know that we have oncology appointments forthcoming and we do not know the plans for chemotherapy at this time. We have a lot of back and forth travel to the West Shore in our near future and I am continuing to work, take care of Allen and Jason. I am not one to ask for help, but it takes a village. We sincerely appreciate your love, prayers and support through this incredibly difficult time in our life.
