Benefits for the Survivors of Cary Kutter
On the evening of August 23rd, Cary Kutter was struck by a vehicle in a crosswalk on his nightly walk in Sherwood. He sustained devastating brain injuries and was rushed to OHSU for treatment in the ICU. He held on for 11 days, but sadly his injuries were too great. He passed away on September 3rd with his wife and three children close by.
This fundraiser will help support Cary's wife (Julie), father-in-law (Jack), and children (Robert, Ryan, and Rochelle). The funds will be used to pay for meals for the family while they are grieving. They will also be used to help pay for travel expenses for Robert, Ryan, and Rochelle to go back and forth between NYC/Butte and Sherwood. Additionally, they will be used to help the family cover loss of income due to bereavement.
The family is grateful for all of your support during this difficult time. Your thoughts, prayers, and words of encouragement are appreciated. For those of you who have asked how you can help, donating to the GoFundMe is one option. If you would like to contribute in another way, the family has identified a few non-profits you could donate to in Cary's name instead.
- Mazamas promotes outdoor recreation, a passion of Cary's.
- Tire Rack Street Survival is a teen driver safety program where Cary was a driving instructor.
- America Walks helps make communities in the United States more walkable.
- Willowbrook Food Pantry in Sherwood
