Benita’s Battle with Breast Cancer

Benita Wilson is in remission from Stage III Metastatic Breast Cancer. Since being diagnosed, her life has changed drastically. She has had ten treatments of two different types of chemotherapy, five surgeries, and fifty rounds of radiation.

Although Benita is in remission, she is still under the care of her oncologist, a specialist, and the surgeon because of the aggressiveness of the disease. In addition to breast cancer related pain and complications, she suffers from lymphedema, severe neuropathy, and a chemo port remains in her chest.

Due to a number of restrictions and limitations, Benita is unable to return to work at this time. Since she is unable to work, she is now experiencing severe financial hardship and burden. Donations from this fundraiser will help with her medical expenses, general living expenses, car maintenance and other expenses associated with medical appointments.
