Dear friends, it is with heavy hearts that we reach out to you today, seeking your support for the Godinez family. Tragically, we lost my father on Friday, May 3rd, 2024, after a valiant battle against ALS, a debilitating motor neuron disease. Over the course of four years, ALS robbed him of his ability to walk, talk, and eat, ultimately confining him to a feeding tube for an entire year. Despite the immense challenges, my father's spirit remained resilient, fighting until his very last breath. Regrettably, ALS has no cure, leaving us heartbroken that my father's life was cut short. Estimados amigos, es con gran pesar que nos dirigimos a ustedes hoy, buscando su apoyo para la familia Godínez. Trágicamente, perdimos a mi padre el viernes 3 de mayo del 2024, después de una valiente batalla contra ELA, una enfermedad neurologica. A lo largo de cuatro años, ELA le robó la capacidad de caminar, hablar y comer, confinándolo finalmente a un tubo de alimentación durante un año entero. A pesar de los inmensos desafíos, el espíritu de mi padre permaneció resiliente, luchando hasta su último aliento. Lamentablemente, ELA no tiene cura, dejándonos desconsolados de que la vida de mi padre se acortó. Sus donaciones, sin importar la cantidad, significarían mucho para nosotros mientras atravesamos por este momento difícil.
