Benjamin Ogura - 10 months Leukemia

Hi my name is Benjamin Ogura and I'm 9 months old and I will be turning 10 months on December 12, 2016. On November 21st 2016 I was diagnosed with Bell's Palsy with right side of the face paralyzed. I was treated and got better. In my follow up to all the doctors involved they requested a blood work since I was getting a fever for a few days, and that's when I was diagnosed with Acute myeloid leukemia with monocytic differentiation on December 06, 2016. It's been a rough couple of days for me and my parents since I had a lot of exams to be done and all was new and catched by surprise. I started chemotherapy right away on December 07th 2016. The same day I got a Bone Marrow, spinal tap and also a port installed in my chest. As treatment started my imune system dropped and I got Pneumonia on December 9th 2016. I got transferred to intense care. The following day I had some complications because I am taking a lot of medications at the same time together with chemo. But I am a big boy, a fighter that will continue this battle to win pneumonia and cancer. I love to live, I love to play with mommy and daddy and I hear their prayers everyday! I love music and I love to praise God.
