Bennos support fund

Hi ....I have been asked by Chris's friends to create a funding platform as there is so many people who want to give Chris a chance to create very special memories in the short time we may have left. we chose the picture above as it was the day we got Chris to an Everton match and a little cheeky meet and greet it took a lot of planning and huge effort for Chris to enjoy this amazing day ...... now a little update of where we are up to with Chris's journey

Chris has been diagnosed with multiple-myeloma and at first his prognosis was 5 years we now know he has an aggressive form with a mutant gene which made treatment with chemotherapy to fail 3 times. we are now on the 4th chemotherapy that can be offered this has reduced his life expectancy. every phone call or letter brings more deverstating news the myeloma has progressed through Chris's body and we have now been told he is high risk to breaking his thigh bone, to prevent this they want to offer surgery to put a rod in his leg from hip to knee, the risk of the operation is surving the anesthetic.That is so high due to the weight gain from steroids and treatment so time is even more precious without the op the bone is likely to break anyway, making surgery more complicated although Chris is end of life in status we have been forced to talk bucket lists and funeral arrangements and wishes, mentaly and emotionally it's been the hardest thing to do.

Chris has things he wants to do and see and thanks to you all this could help make it possible so this is here as requested. Today Chris was told over 50 golfers from 4 different Golf Societies want Chris to benefit from any fundraising this weekend. The generosity keeps blowing us away and even though chris likes to be private its now everytime we manage to go out. One example friends from waterloo wanted to do a unique form of a triathlon which sounded tough and these things keep chris,myself and his family going with a smile and a positive outlook everyday. Originally I was going to create a friends and family day with Chris but as we have to go day by day with him we decided it was to much to find the time to organise that would of been where any funding would of been received I would like to thank you all for any thing and everything you manage to do and for your love and support it means the absolute world to us both
