Benny the 7-year-old warrior vs Leukemia

I am writing to share the story of the 7-year-old warrior Benny Lopez. He is the son of Taylor and JJ Lopez of JL3 Construction.

Benny has been in and out of the hospital since August with severe leg pains to the point he could not even walk. It seemed his severe pain would just come and go randomly without rhyme or reason. He would be in pain all day on a Saturday but then could go play all day Sunday running around the baseball field or football field with no pain. The pain Benny was experiencing kept getting worse until he could not take it anymore. Benny was forced to stop playing all of the physical sports that he so passionately enjoys playing because of the pain. Benny was taken to almost every single doctor in the area trying to get answers. The cause of Benny's pain was discovered last week. The medical team performed a surgery where they pulled bone marrow from both sides of his pelvis and confirmed that Benny has Leukemia. This unexpected turn has not only altered the course of his life but has also posed financial challenges for the family throughout his treatment. Benny will no longer be allowed to attend school alongside his friends and siblings. As we witness this little warrior fighting against leukemia, we are reaching out to our community with a heartfelt appeal. We believe in the power of collective support and are launching a GoFundMe campaign to alleviate the financial burden on this family during this trying time. The funds raised will contribute to Benny's medical expenses, ensuring he receives the best care and treatment available.
