While we were out for a couple of hours, Benny got into something extremely toxic to dogs.
Causing his glucose levels to drop.
I came home to him unable to stand and having a seizure. Luckily he threw up a lot of the toxic substance. And we rushed him to the closest emergency vet.
They are extremely worried about his liver, if levels get worse he could have liver failure.
He is currently spending the weekend at the emergency vet where he is getting fluids and meds to help protect and save his liver.
The cost of this is already piling up, but we also want to give him his best chance if things go bad!
I hate doing something like this but I know so many people love our Benny and he has made a lot of people Happy, so anything to help would be greatly appreciated so we can help out this big baby as much as we can!
We got to see him before we left Friday night and he was standing and wagging his tail!
Now it’s just a waiting game to see how we can help his liver!
