Benny’s MRI
Donation protected
Benny, my sweet 1 year old kitty, started having seizures. He saw the neurologist, who ordered an MRI and a spinal tap. We aren’t sure the cause of his seizures. So far, he has had bloodwork ran, which has ruled out toxoplasmosis and cryptococcus. He has been started on a seizure medication in the mean time.
Benny has cerebellar hypoplasia, which he has adapted well to and has learned to get around great. This in and of itself doesn’t cause seizures. We aren’t sure if these seizures are congenital. There is a long list of potential causes, such as meningitis, hydrocephalus, tumor, disease, degeneration, or even idiopathic epilepsy. We aren’t sure until he has the MRI and spinal tap. The medication may help, but unless we find the root cause of the seizures, they could get worse.
Thank you for your contributions, it means the world to me and Benny. ❤️
