Ben's Battle with Brain Cancer

We are reaching out to you on behalf of some of our closest friends, Taylor and Nathan Waller. Their son Ben, who is 11 months old, is fighting a cancerous brain tumor that was discovered during a routine check-up. This devastating news has caught the whole family by surprise, and they would greatly benefit from financial assistance due to medical expenses.

Ben’s Journey:

Ben was born in August of 2022. He is only 11 months old with his 1st birthday right around the corner. Ben had no signs or symptoms of any illness; he played like a normal baby with his sister. Always curious and learning. Just recently in July of 2023, they went in for a routine wellness exam and their pediatrician referred them to an ultrasound because his head measured outside of the "normal" parameters. Last Tuesday, they got the ultrasound results, and they revealed a large unknown mass in his brain. They were strongly advised to immediately bring him to a children's hospital where after an MRI and brain biopsy confirmed that he has a 11cm x 9cm x 9cm cancerous tumor. Chemo is starting in the coming days to begin his treatment plan.

Through all of this, Ben has shown no outward signs of anything being wrong. This has been both a blessing and a curse for their family. We are so thankful he is comfortable and happy and acting like a normal toddler and hopefully that continues through this long journey.
