Benson Artman 22 week Preemie
Megan delivered Benson at 3am on Saturday, November 4th due to a subchorionic hemorrage. He's a micro-premie. She was 22 weeks and 5 days pregnant. They all expected him to die within an hour but after going strong 5 hours after birth and still breathing consistently with a decent heartbeat, we told them we weren't giving up on him.
They tried to convince her to hold him til he died but we're taking the neonatal route to intervene for his life. They're making an exception for him because they're all so shocked at how well he's doing and they don't usually even try for babies born quite this early.
He was successfully transferred to Hemby Children's Hospital and continues to respond well to everything they are doing to help him function and mature.
Praising God He is so near! We are speaking life over him really strong and have since he was born. He's doing well and responds to our singing, praying over him and speaking the promises of God to him. He likes to grab our fingers, smiles when we tell him he's strong in spirit and kicks when he hears mom and dad.
"The same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is the same spirit that gives life to our mortal bodies."
Romans 8:11
One neonatologist said they thought it was reasonable to just let him be comforted on my chest until he stopped breathing but then he lived. He said he's fighting every odd and there's some lifeforce in him that they can't explain with science.
This baby is a testimony to the Lord to everyone around him.
We are fighting the good fight of faith and will not throw away our confidence because we know it'll be richly rewarded.
"For we walk by faith, not by sight"...OR statistics.

If you would like to help support us financially during this time so that we can spend as much time with him as possible while he's in the NICU, we would be so grateful. Thank you to those of you who are praying and standing in faith alongside us. It is very valuable to us.
"We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak."
2 Corinthians 4:13
"He who has ears to hear, LET him hear."
Matthew 11:15
