Benstal's Children need Urgent Medical Care & Survival funds

Hello,

My name is Asra and I am organizing this fundraiser for a young widowed mother in Gaza who is responsible for three children who are in need of medical care. I will let her introduce herself in her own words here:

A Call for Help to Survive

My name is Benstal Mezyd, 25 years old, and I am writing to you with a heavy heart, hoping to find some relief for my children and myself. My husband has been missing since the war on Gaza began on October 7. Every day, I struggle to keep hope alive and provide for my three young children in these dire circumstances.

My eldest son, Anas, is just five years old. My daughter, Inas, who is three, suffers from severe eye problems that require major surgeries. My heart breaks knowing that she needs urgent medical attention that I cannot afford. My youngest, Samad, is an infant who depends entirely on me and has needed to be hospitalized.

To support my family, I sell bread daily, barely managing to earn three dollars, just enough to feed my children. The struggle to find clean water and sufficient food is relentless and exhausting. Despite my efforts, every day feels like a battle for survival.

I am pleading for your support. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in our lives. Your generosity can help us secure the medical care Inas desperately needs and provide some stability for my children during these trying times.

Here is a breakdown on how we intend to use the funds

Evacuation with Hala travel once borders open: $5000 for me, $2500 for each of my 3 children = $12,500

Funds to help us in Egypt: $1500 to rent a room until we are granted asylum and assistance

Medical expenses: $10,000 I have two children that need medical intervention

Survival: $6000 life in Gaza is expensive because of scarcity. With winter coming I will need to buy my young children warm clothes to protect them. I am hoping I can use this money for our basic needs until borders open.
