Bentley and Ollie's Emergency Vet Care

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Gabby, I'm hoping to raise funds to help pay off the debt I accrued over the last year due to both of my dogs falling unexpectedly ill and needing emergency care multiple times as well as unexpected follow up procedures including CTs, ultrasounds, more than routine labs, an ICU stay, and surgery. While I was fortunate enough to be able to get loans to cover the costs to have their procedures and care done, I'm struggling to get back on my feet and pay off the debts.

It started with Ollie having issues with his eye, he now has a permanent eye infection with a secondary glaucoma, while waiting to get into to see a specialist he was seen in the emergency room multiple times. Once the diagnosis was given they advised he needed x-rays and ultrasounds in an attempt to find a potential cause for the infection. Luckily they came back as negative for cancer or any cause that would lead to infection.

During this, Bentley began to have facial swelling of unknown origin, for over a month it was a lot of speculation and wait and see for him. Eventually he was on antibiotics with a temp of 104+ with increased swelling and no response to the antibiotics. He was admitted to the hospital for care where he received a CT and ultrasound guided aspirates. When that turned nothing up we were still unsure what the cause was. Over the next few days was a lot of testing and a working diagnosis of lymphoma, his samples routinely came back as inconsistent with lymphoma, fast forward a month, the swelling is resolved and things are going well until his submandibular lymphnode swells to the size of a golfball... back to the ER we go. It was at this time we decided surgery was his best option, they removed both submandibular lymphnodes as well as other involved swollen tissue. Still working off the lymphoma differential diagnosis, he received elspar, a chemo injection. This still did not work. More testing was done and after 2 months of assuming the worst, my boy was cleared as having a super uncommon autoimmune disorder.

I'm so thankful that they are both stable and well currently, but with follow ups being needed and matenince check ups, it's getting challenging to clear up the accrued debt and still provide them the best care. The funds will be used to help pay down or off the vet bills accruing interest to hopefully allow me to continue providing them better care under less stress of the debt that exists. Anything helps, and I appreciate you taking the time to learn their story.
