Hey everyone!
I recently just finished my 5th semester of college at the University of Kentucky, which leaves 3 more until graduation. I am studying Kinesiology and I am planning on going to Physical Therapy School to receive my Doctorate after graduation. After continuous hours of studying and experience these past years, I have become super passionate about the medical field and helping other people. I want to continue my education within the Kinesiology and Medical Departments to use this knowledge to help people live healthier and happier lives.
I am going on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic this spring break to help the less fortunate people who are in need of medical treatment to become healthier individuals. I will be going on this trip through the program Global Medical Training, which is a non-profit organization allowing students and professionals to use and expand their medical and healthcare knowledge in underdeveloped countries. I will be helping doctors treat patients with injuries and illnesses and will be using my knowledge to inform patients about exercising and living a healthier lifestyle. We will be treating people of all ages and our goal is to help as many people as possible across the Dominican Republic.
I have made this GoFundMe to help raise money for the expenses of my trip. The money will go towards medicine needed (vaccines, antibiotics, etc.), patient assistance needed (wheelchairs, crutches, etc.), lodging, transportation, and more. Every donation will help make this trip possible and I will greatly appreciate any amount given!
