
Climbing Snowdon for The Places Foundation Charity

Working at Places for People is more than just a job, we help transform the lives of our Customer’s and Communities.
Johnny Banger and a team of colleagues from Places for People will be climbing Snowdon on Saturday 10th May to raise money for good causes supported through The Places Foundation Charity.
The funds will be used to support those that need it most and this will help drive the group on as they embark on the 1,085 metre climb.

The Places Foundation is Places for People Group’s independent charity which provides grant funding is to support projects which: ‘ improve the quality of life for people and communities, particularly those who suffer disadvantage as a result of exclusion from the labour market and inadequate access to essential services’.
Projects funded by grants from the Places Foundation have supported 15,261 people and delivered an estimated £9 million in social value, measured by the HACT UK Social Value Bank. This includes £5.7 million in wellbeing valuation and £3.3 million in savings to the State.
Examples of projects which this funding will help support include: The Street Kitchen which is providing food and outreach services for homeless people in Harlow; the Sky Academy which brings together a network of partners in Edinburgh to address youth anti-social behaviour and alcohol-related violence; and the Deep Boroughs Network which is supporting young entrepreneurs in East London to learn financial literacy and business skills.
