Berenice’s Road to Recover, accidental fire

Dear Friends, Family, Community It is with heavy heart we reach out to you today to share the tragic news about our beloved amazing Mother. Accidents happen in a split of a second, but my mom Berenice with no insurance coverage will need as much help as possible with 3-6 months of rehabilitation and no income. She did suffer a terrible home kitchen fire that caused for 20% of her body to burn. From Reno Nv, she had to be transported to UC.DAVIS INTENSIVE CARE BURN UNIT in Sacramento Ca, Sunday May 19th, with 3rd degree burns on her whole right arm and her right upper rib and chest area. She will need a skin graft surgery Wednesday May 29th and remain in the ICU for 2-3 weeks after and months of recovery time, putting her out of work in that time. Sharing a bit about her, this mother of 3 is the greatest and most thoughtful woman. She always puts others first before herself; a very hard working woman. Someone who works their 9-5, and still comes home to provide for the entire family and takes care of those around her. The waiting room has been filled with friends and family who love her and support her through the good and bad times. Her family has been driving back and forth from Reno to California to be with her and show her as much support as possible.
Every contribution, no matter the size, helps. Your support and kindness during this challenging time means the world to our family in this difficult time. It is time to give support and relieve some of the burden so the real hard work ahead of the family can continue, without other worries and concerns.

Queridos amigos, familia, comunidad. Es con gran pesar que nos ponemos en contacto con ustedes hoy para compartir las trágicas noticias sobre nuestra amada e increíble Madre. Los accidentes ocurren en una fracción de segundo, pero mi madre Berenice sin cobertura de seguro necesitará tanta ayuda como sea posible con 3-6 meses de rehabilitación y sin ingresos. Sufrió un terrible incendio en la cocina de la casa que causó que el 20 % de su cuerpo se quemara. Desde Reno Nv, tuvo que ser transportada a la UNIDAD DE QUEMA DE CUIDADO INTENSIVO DE UC.DAVIS en Sacramento Ca, el domingo 19 de mayo, con quemaduras de 3er grado en todo el brazo derecho y la parte superior de la costilla derecha y el área del pecho. Necesitará una cirugía de injerto de piel el miércoles 29 de mayo y permanecerá en la UCI durante 2-3 semanas después y meses de tiempo de recuperación, lo que la pondrá sin trabajo en ese tiempo. Compartiendo un poco sobre ella, esta madre de 3 hijos es la mujer más grande y considerada. Ella siempre pone a los demás antes que a sí misma; una mujer muy trabajadora. Alguien que trabaja su 9-5, y todavía vuelve a casa para mantener a toda la familia y cuida de los que la rodean. La sala de espera ha estado llena de amigos y familiares que la aman y la apoyan en los buenos y malos momentos. Su familia ha estado conduciendo de ida y vuelta de Reno a California para estar con ella y mostrarle el mayor apoyo posible. Cada contribución, sin importar el tamaño, ayuda. Su apoyo y amabilidad durante este momento difícil significan el mundo para nuestra familia en este momento difícil. Es hora de dar apoyo y aliviar parte de la carga para que el verdadero trabajo duro que tiene por delante la familia pueda continuar, sin otras preocupaciones y preocupaciones.
