Dear Houston and Fort Worth,
As I stated in a local news interview recently, there is no other way to put this than, “it sucks!”
We never imagined we would be forced into a position to temporarily close all of our restaurants. Now incapable of providing continued financial support to our team members, we need you, our community, most of all.
Many of you have already asked, “How can we help you?”, and we truly appreciate all of the heartfelt messages we’ve received.
So, we are asking all of you now, our loyal guests, to consider making a donation to our GoFundMe campaign in support of our team members through our Berg Hospitality Family Relief Fund.
*Before Monday, March 16th, we employed over 400 hourly employees who need our help. 100% of the funds raised will go to our hourly employees.*
We hope you will join us in supporting these incredibly talented, hard-working people, who are the heart and soul of our company. All of us here have a true passion for the hospitality industry and cherish our opportunities to create special and lasting memories for our guests.
Here is a recent quote from the Texas Restaurant Association that really resonated with us: “Restaurants and the people who work in them make up the fabric of every community. They are the places we celebrate birthdays, new jobs, and team championships. Restaurants have always been there for us. Now, we need to be there for them, and show up in a very big way.”
While this is extremely unfortunate for all restaurants in Houston, I know that we have some of the greatest restaurateurs, chefs and overall staff in this city, and we will come back stronger than before.
In the meantime, any support you can give us, along with other local restaurants, is truly appreciated.
We would be grateful if you would also pass this message along to others to help us reach our goal. Thank you again to our loyal guests, friends, family and all of Houston.
