Berkeley High Black Graduation Fundraiser

The Berkeley High School African American Studies Department is celebrating its 29th annual Black Graduation this year! For the past 20+ years Berkeley Unified School District (BUSD) has provided funding in support of the AFAM department's Black Graduation ceremony.

However, due to budget cuts the district will no longer be able to provide this support and the cost of this special event will now fall on families, many of whom are already financially burdened with other graduation and school expenses.

To assist with this cost, we are seeking to raise $5000 by May 17, 2019 to assist our students with purchasing graduation sashes as well as help offset other Black Graduation related expenses.

No donation is too small, and all efforts to support this tradition are greatly appreciated! THANK YOU!
