Berkeley Surf Team 2018

Established in just 2015 by several confused freshmen that wanted a break from the bustling, busy lives that the University of California, Berkeley promotes, The Surf Team at Berkeley strives to balance a premier education with constant swell. Since its conception in cramped dorm rooms and noisy cafeterias, STAB’s focus on creating a fun, relaxing, and inviting lifestyle on and off campus has remained unwavering.

Although we call Ocean Beach our home, the Surf Team at Berkeley travels throughout California, competing in the ever-challenging NSSA Collegiate series, boasting over one hundred members.

STAB will continue to provide the students of UC Berkeley with ample opportunity to explore waves, culture,and sport around the Bay Area.

The surf club puts together monthly events including BBQ's, movie screenings, beach days, beach cleanups and parties .

We have westsuits and surfboards available for members to use and use a Facebook forum to coordinate carpool rides to the beach. 

We launched a similar fundraising campaign 2 years ago to jumpstart our club and now with our huge membership we're looking for more funds to take our club to the next level. We would be spending the money raised on surf equipment to teach beginners how to surf, beach cleanup supplies, contest registration fees, travel costs, and additional team events.
