Hello! I'm Sean Wallace, currently honing my craft as a teaching assistant at the prestigious Lamont School of Music, University of Denver. I eagerly anticipate completing my master's degree in vocal performance in Spring 2024, a journey which began with a solid foundation in the same field at Drake University, Des Moines.

Today, I'm thrilled to share an extraordinary opportunity that has come my way—participating in the Berlin Dramatic Voices Program starting July 31st and concluding the 22nd of August. After auditioning, I've been honored with a role in the main cast as Orest in Strauss' Elektra, in addition to performing in their renowned liederabend series.

This program is not just another milestone; it's a gateway to unparalleled professional growth and artistic expression. Not only is there the experience with the incredible faculty, but also professional headshots, meetings with talent agents, and much more! However, the road to Berlin is paved with expenses—transportation, lodging, food, and tuition. While I've been fortunate to secure a significant scholarship and am exploring every possible grant through my academic affiliations, there's still a gap that needs bridging.

Here's where the story gets even better: I won't be embarking on this adventure alone! My best friend Katie, who's also been cast as Aufseherin in Elektra, and our dear friend Danny are joining me. This not only adds a layer of safety and camaraderie to our journey but also makes shared expenses like lodging more manageable.

But why am I reaching out to you? Because this isn't just a trip—it's a pivotal step in my career. It's about seizing a moment that's ripe with potential, supported by the academic and financial groundwork I've laid so far. Lodging (Home and abroad): $2200

Remaining Tuition after Scholarship: $3000

As mentioned before, I will be applying for grants and working but I also am working on putting together a joint recital with Katie as a way to showcase what you are all donating for!
