Bernadine Vigue (Menominee/Oneida/Stockbridge) was a lifelong educator dedicated to ensuring higher education was accessible and attainable for aspiring students. Her compassionate nature and steadfast support of the Tribal and Community College experience positively impacted students, staff, and faculty driving them to greater academic heights and future successes.
As a first-generation college student who overcame many obstacles to reach her higher education goals, Bernadine ensured that other Native students maintained their cultural connections away from home received the support, tools, and resources to achieve academic success.
Prior to her passing, Bernadine wanted her family to carry on her support of higher education by providing mentorship and the financial means for Native students to attend and succeed in college.
Your donations will go directly to supporting aspiring students' dreams by providing opportunities to improve their quality of life through higher education. The first Bernadine Vigue Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to students attending Tribal or Community College for 2023-2024 academic year.
