Bernardita C. Edpalina was a simple and humble lady. She was an extraordinary and exceptional person who lived her life with an overwhelming sense of spreading kindness and goodwill to family, friends and even strangers. She was a caregiver by profession and did her job diligently with compassion. Her clients genuinely benefitted from her gentleness, patience and understanding. She made them feel respected and helped them retain their self-worth and dignity. No one could have given better care.
Since arriving in the United States, Bernardita never forgot those less fortunate, especially from her hometown in the Philippines. When she had extra funds, she would send money back home to help educate under-priviledged youths and enable them to strive for a better future. She believed in the philosophy of paying it forward.
To her family, she was their beloved matriarch. A loving mother to her children, Riza, Rustom and James. A cherished mother-in-law to Jocelyn and Jhona. A doting grandmother to Jazlyn, Jerome, Frances Luke, Zakari, Jhazel, Jyohan, Jhana and Jyuan. Unfortunately, in the last few years, her health deteriorated until she finally succumbed to kidney failure. Her final wish is to be brought home to the Philippines for her final resting place. The family asks for your support in fulfilling her request and sending her back to the place she held near and dear to her heart.
