Bernie Sanders 2020 Canvassing

My name is Habiba Choudhury a 28 years old democratic socialist from Queens, NY whose believed in Bernie Sanders and his message since 2015. He is the president for the people and. I believe he see’s those of us who have been marginalized for decades. As a Bangladeshi Muslim American, Bernie has inspired me to volunteer and canvass for him. I traveled to NH during the primary and became honored to be canvassing with incredible volunteers. 

I started this gofundme because I want to canvass for Bernie in South Carolina and Georgia. I understand the class struggle and believe this is a class warfare. Our democracy and the citizens of this country are suffering deeply because of systematic oppression and money in politics that has crippled the American people. 

Now, I plan to travel to volunteer and canvass for Bernie in as many states as I can. I believe I can make a difference with my background as a daughter of immigrants from a working class. My father was a taxi driver for almost 40 years and worked extremely hard to make sure his children are not struggling. My mother has raised me as a homemaker to understand we are all equal. 

However, the American dream my father hoped for has become nonexistent for us. My sister’s student debt, my father’s health, income inequality and Islamophobia, and unaffordable housing have driven me to fight to make sure Bernie is the next POTUS.

Luckily I was blessed to attend Wellesley College where I study Peace and Justice Studies with a full scholarship that I do not have to fear for student debt. However, it’s affecting many Americans. I believe the 1% have had too much wealth and it’s time it is fairly redistributed to the 99% Additionally, I believe in the Green New Deal and Medicare for All. 

This movement is a fight for our lives and I am ready to do all I can to help transform our democracy towards a better future. Please support me with as much as you can.
