Bertha Waits - a short film

Oh, hello there! My name is Chris Youngless and I am an LA-based writer and director. You may know me from my last short, Melvin and the Microphone! It did pretty darn well in the festival circuit and even Headlined at Joe Bob's Haunted Drive-in, at the Rose Bowl, back in 2020.

But that was then and this is now! And right now I am desperately trying to raise money to fund my next short film comedy, BERTHA WAITS, which shoots at the end of July 2022.

So, What is Bertha Waits About?

Bertha Waits is a comedy about a woman who reluctantly must go to a job interview on the same day the world is scheduled to end. Hilarious, right? I promise you it is.

Who is Playing the Lead?

The amazingly talented, Cloie Wyatt Taylor , that’s who!

Cloie plays “Vicky” on PARTNERS IN RHYME and she stars alongside Emily Hampshire, Heather Matarazzo, and Carl Clemons-Hopkins in the upcoming THE MATTACHINE FAMILY. She has also appeared on SHAMELESS , CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND , SUPERSTORE , and in YES DAY just to name a few.

In a nutshell, I am working on a new project. A comedy project. And not just a comedy project but a relatable comedy project, about a woman, forced to get a job, while the world is about to end when all she really wants to do is stay home and drink some coffee.
