Bertha's Tribute to Silas Needs Your Help
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Lillian Herzberg. I am the sister to Bertha Carter-Jones, wife of the late Silas Jones. I am here asking for donations to help memorialize my sister's husband.
She has had some health challenges: a stroke, a car accident, and some memory issues. Before she became ill, she kept her husband's insurance paid. He had some life challenges and needed someone to keep his insurance up for him. But due to her illnesses, she was unable to keep it. Bertha and Silas, as a married couple, raised six adopted children to adulthood, all of whom attended Inkster Public Schools. Living in Inkster on Moore Street, you could ride by their household and see the children playing on the big wooden swing Bertha had built in the backyard. She raised all of her children as a member of Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ, where the children sang in the choir and danced as praise dancers for many years. Bertha grew up in Inkster on both sides of Inkster Road, from Lovett Ave. to Penn Street. She attended Inkster Public Schools and graduated from Robichaud Sr. High. Bertha has been an outstanding citizen of Inkster who now is in need of your help.
We are asking for a fifty dollar donation to help reach the goal of $2000. If you are unable to donate the fifty, we will feel blessed with whatever you can donate. Please, friends, family, and all who may read this posting, my sister needs your help. Thank you in advance.
