*FULLY FUNDED*BERTIE - rescue, foster, adoption
Hello everybody!
I have started this fund raiser on behalf of TESA'S RESCUE, as one of the volunteers, to try my very best to raise the necessary money to cover all of the expenses that we have for Bertie.
Who is Bertie you might wonder! He's an elderly stray dog of around 10 years old who is now the luckiest dog on the planet! He once belonged to a villager who unfortunately did not care for him at all, he neglected Bertie to the point of such immense weakness that the poor sweetheart couldn't physically get up or had any will to live. Seeing as Bertie was close to dying, the villager literally threw him in a random ditch by the side of the road and left him there. On their usual stray dogs feeding rounds, our volunteers found him and with meds/daily food, Bertie perked up and not only is he able to walk now, but had started jumping with joy whenever he saw the volunteers approaching.
Bertie has been offered an AMAZING foster home with view of adoption from a lovely family who already owns one of our dogs. It is based in the UK and Bertie would live by the seaside, would have fantastic walks everyday and would be surrounded by love and care at all times - besides, everyone is ready to make Bertie their sofa buddy!
For this dream to come true, we are looking at the following costs:
£195 transport from Romania to UK in a van with 24 hours care and supervision + £30 2 nights stay in kennels (Faversham) until collection
£45 vaccinations, de-worming, flea treatment, microchip, passport
£40 heart worm test
All of these expenses are reduced as much as possible and our vet is so kind that he allows us to work "on the book", so on debts, therefore he will gladly go ahead and do everything without the money upfront. However, we would love to cover everything as soon as we possibly can so that our mind is at peace knowing that our debts are ZERO. This will allow us to move and rescue the next animal in dire need!
