Hey everyone, I’m Lawrence, a 28yo artist & creative that recently moved to Houston, TX from St. Louis, MO.
I’m fundraising to get myself, my mom, and 5yr old nephew out of the elements and desolation from the storm.
We were barely in the Bayou West apartments a month before Beryl completely devastated my building’s wall leaving us with no power.
As this was my first hurricane and was supposed to be only considered a tropical storm, we weren’t prepared for an emergency situation of this caliber.
I’m hoping a weeks worth of a hotel stay is enough time for power to be restored.
If we’re not able to reach that goal these funds will be for batteries and battery operated devices to quell the heat and provide light during the dark hours, for transportation, a cooler, food, water and ice.
I can’t thank you enough for being so kind, supportive, and helpful to me and my family during this trying time.
